SUNHYE CHA, Piano

She was born in Seol Korea, pianist SunHye Cha is in demand as soloist and collaborator. Ms. Cha began piano study with IkJean Kim at her early childhood and was the most outstanding pupil of her.

She has won awards in several competitions in piano performance and has won the first prize in conducting as well. Since Ms. Cha came to the United State, she has studied with Timothy Hester, Robert S. Brownlee, Brian Connelly, Krassimira jordan, Jane Abbott-Kirk and has been coached by Warren Jones. Formerly, on the students of the Balylor University in TX, from which Ms. Cha received master’s degree, she was the recipient of assistantship and has made an outstanding specialist as a soloist and collaborator of ensemble repertoire.

As an active chamber musician, Ms. Cha has collaborated with many of today’s respected instrumentalist, such as violinist Febian Lopez and Susan Burkepile, oboist Grant Louvier, cellist Lena Timmons, and tenor Nag Young Kang. Recently, Ms. Cha has been invited to the FBI to perform at concerts for Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Celebration and has appeared at the U.S. In addition, she is a highly sought – out teacher for students and a current member of a Music Educators Association of NJ.
